Description

The Rockford Fosgate R2-250X1 is a nice, affordable amp that will provide the perfect amount of power to an entry level subwoofer. The Prime R2-250x1 uses ultra-efficient, Class D circuitry to deliver 250 watts of RMS power. The R2-250x1 is 2 ohm stable putting out 250 watts at 2 ohms and 160 watts at 4 ohms without taxing your vehicle's electrial system. These amps use Rockford's C.L.E.A.N. technology that gives you a clipping indicator light. This allows you to set your gains to the perfect level to deliver maximum power without distortion. As a result, you get hard-hitting bass that will help ensure the longevity of your subwoofer(s).

The Rockford Fosgate amplifiers use an unregulated power supply to deliver more than rated power when voltages increase and the internal Punch EQ corrects for acoustic deficiencies while devliering up to 3x the bass. The R2-250x1 has a variable infrasonic filter between 15-40 Hz to let you fine tune the low frequency output and includes a bass knob for quick, on-the-fly level adjustment.

We recommend a 4AWG wiring kit for this amplifier, but you can still safely use an 8 AWG kit too. Just make sure it is 100% OFC copper.
