Kicker 10 Inch Comp C Dual Subwoofer Kit

Our Kicker Dual 10" CompC and CX400.1 Subwoofer Package takes the guess work out of pairing your Kicker subwoofers with a Kicker amplifier. This kit is perfect if you want to add two subwoofers to your vehicle and you either already have a box, or you plan on building a custom one yourself. This subwoofer package includes the two Comp C subwoofers, your choice of Kicker CX series amplifier, an amp wiring kit, and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire.

Kicker 10 Inch Comp C Dual Subwoofer Kit

The Kicker Comp C is one of the better entry-level subwoofers availalbe. While it is not Kicker's lowest cost subwoofer, it is only a couple dollars more expensive than their Comp line and the Comp C sounds much better. With the CompC, you get legendary Kicker performance without breaking the bank. If you want to add subwoofers, but the "Step Up" subs are out of your budget, the Comp C is one of our favorite options. The subwoofers in this kit have dual 4 ohm voice coils which you should wire to a 1 ohm load.

Kicker CX Series Monoblock Amplifier

The Kicker CX series monoblock amplifiers are compact, efficient, and deliver the power you expect from a Kicker. There are two options here, the CX400.1 and the CX800.1.

• CX400.1 - The Kicker CX400.1 will work fine to power the two subwoofers. The amplifier is rated at 400 watts at 1 ohm, 200 watts to each subwoofer. The subwoofers can handle more power than that, but you don't need to necessarily max out the RMS power handling for each subwoofer.
• CX800.1 - The Kicker CX800.1 will put out 800 watts at 1 ohm. In theory, this is 400 watts to each subwoofer which is more than the 300 watts RMS that they can handle. However, this is not a bad thing. This is good because some head room. You don't need to turn the gain up all the way. This help eliminate distortion.

The analogy between the two amplifier is similar to comparing a Honda Civic and a Porsche 911. Both amplifiers can power these subwoofers, just like both the Honda Civic and the Porsche can go 90 mph. The difference is that the Honda Civic is screaming at 90 while the Porsche 911 is barely working.

Wiring Kit & Speaker Wire Included

We include an amp wiring kit and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire with this subwoofer kit. The CX400.1 comes with an 8 AWG wiring kit because a 4 AWG kit won't fit and the CX800.1 comes with a 4 AWG wiring kit. The wire used in the amp kits and the speaker wire is 100% oxygen free copper. You don't want to spend the money on Kicker subwoofers and an amp only to starve them with cheap, copper coated aluminum wire. We include the good stuff.

Wire the Subwoofers in Parallel to a 1 Ohm Load

You will want to wire the subwoofers in parallel to a 1 ohm load. This will maximize the output of your amplifier. Please see the wiring diagram below.

Bass Knob Recommended

We recommend adding a bass knob to quickly and easily adjust the subwoofer output level. Instead of fumbling with the head unit, the bass knob allows you to quickly turn the bass up or down. This allows for a better listening experience and also allows you to quickly turn the bass down if you hear distrotion. No two tracks are recorded with the same amount of bass and the bass knob allows you to adjust the bass levels to your exact preference.
