Kicker 1968-72 Skylark Kick Panel Speaker - No A/C

If you want to add kick panel speakers to your 1968-1972 Buick Skylark, the Kicker upgrade option is our "Go-to". The CS or KS speakers that come installed in these kick panels deliver the sound quality you expect from a a Kickerproduct at a price point that is worth the upgrade. These kick panel speakers are made from ABS plastic, install using the factory mounting holes, and come with movable vents that allow you to keep the "fresh-air" functionality of your non-AC vehicle.

The benefit of kick panel speakers is that it provides a better sound stage and the larger speakers will play louder in your 1968-1972 Buick Skylark. The original dash location limits you to 4" speakers. The 6.5" speakers in the kick panels will provide better mid-range response and the larger speakers will play louder, without forcing you to hack up the originality of your vehicle.

Kicker CS or Kicker KS Speakers

We offer two series of Kicker 6.5" speakers and both of them fit in the kick panel opening and have a low-profile mounting depth so that you can actually mount the kick panel.

The Kicker CS series are great OEM or stock speaker upgrades. The Kicker CS speakers are a higher quality, better sounding speaker than the speakers that come in new cars today, even those with premium or upgraded sound systems. The Kicker CS series speakers are extremely efficient and work very well powered by your radio or an amplifier.

The Kicker KS series is the top of line speaker from Kicker and they feature silk dome tweeters for very smooth, warm and balanced sound. The KS speakers are not as loud as the CS when powered with the radio but offer a different type of sound that is warmer and balanced, comparable to most home theater speakers. When amplified, the Kicker KS speakers will play louder than the CS series and have better bass response while still offering that high quality, rich warm sound that comes from the silk dome tweeters. Please be aware that the KS speaker grilles protrude out a little further that the CS and may require you to move the e-brake mounting bracket over for enough clearance.

Add Hushmat for Better Sound

Add HushMat Wave Breaker pads for even better sound. The HushMat Wave Breakers simply stick to the body behind the kick panel speakers and eliminiate backwave distortion so that you hear 30-40% more of the music that your speakers are producing. The Wave Breakers will give the effect of a sealed enclosure despite an open-air installation. The HushMat Wave Breaker pads come with peel and stick adhesive and require no special tools for simple, easy installation.

**Please Note** - The speaker grille may interfer with your parking brake.  They should fit most vehicles without any interference, but after being stepped on for nearly 50 years, your parking brake can wear out and the pedal and mounts may loosen or bend.  If the grille pedal does hit the grille, you can adjust the parking brake mount over, away from the kick panel, remove the parking brake if it is not needed, or leave it as is and just don't engage it.
