Description
Our Kicker 12" CompQ and CX800.1 Subwoofer Package takes the guess work out of pairing your Kicker subwoofer with a Kicker amplifier. This kit includes the 12" Kicker Comp Q subwoofer, a Kicker CX800.1 monoblock amplifier, a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with RCA, and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire.
Kicker Comp Q 12" Subwoofer
The Kicker Comp Q 12 inch subwoofer is Kicker's top of the line, round subwoofer. These subwoofers are designed to not only hit hard, but to also be accurate. The 12" Comp Q can handle 850 watts RMS which is insane, given the price point. The subwoofer included with this package has dual 2 ohm voice coils which you will wire in parallel to a 1 ohm load. If you don't want square subwoofers and you want the best that Kicker has to offer, this is it. In terms of value, it is hard to compete with the Comp Q.
Kicker CX800.1 800W Subwoofer Amp
The Kicker CX800.1 will deliver plenty of power for the Comp Q subwoofer. The CX800.1 is rated at 800 watts at 1 ohm, but the actual output of this amplifier is more than 1000 watts at 1 ohm. Kicker is known for under-rating their amplifiers and delivers incredible output and value with the CX800.1. This amplifier is very small given its output and uses efficient class D circuitry.
Wiring Kit + Speaker Wire Included
We include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with an RCA cable and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire with this Comp Q subwoofer kit. The wire used in both the amp kit and the speaker wire is 100% pure oxygen-free copper for maximum output and performance. It doesn't make sense to spend the money on Kicker components and then cheap out on the wire. This kit includes the good stuff. Don't settle for copper coated aluminum crap.
Wire the Subwoofer in Parallel to a 1 Ohm Load
The Comp Q subwoofer has dual 2 ohm voice coils. You will wire the voice coils in parallel to a 1 ohm load. This ensures maximum output and efficiency from the amplifier. Please see the diagram below
