JL Audio Dual 15W0v3 with JD500/1 500 WattD Subwoofer Kit

This JL Audio 15W0 subwoofer package includes two, 15" W0v3-4 subwoofers and the JL Audio JD500/1D amplifier. With this setup, each 15W0v3-4 will receive 250 watts of RMS power from the amplifier. The JL Audio JD500/1D is rated at 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Since there are two 4 ohm subwoofers in this package, it is best to wire them in parallel so that the amplifier will see a 2 ohm load and thus put out the full amount of rated RMS power. The JD500/1D amplifier offers great value while still providing the quality you expect from JL Audio. 500 watts is 500 watts. Each 15W0v3-4 can handle a maximum of 500 watts of RMS power. JL Audio recommend between 150-500 watts of amplifier power which the JD500/1D is providing. Please see the wiring diagram below for the recommended, paralelle wiring for this package. If you want to fully maximize the subwoofer's output, you can opt for the the package with the JD1000/1D or the RD1000/1 in order to provide 500 watts of RMS power to each sub.
