JL Audio Bass Package - TW1

The JL Audio TW1 is a thin line woofer that is designed to give full size bass performance in a small volume enclosure.  The enclsoures that come in this package offer very shallow mounting depths, less than 7" for a sealed enclosure.  JL Audio uses their concentric tube technology which allows them to place the motor structure further forward in order to reduce the mounting depth of the woofer and the enclosure space needed.  The JL Audio TW1 woofers provide rich, deep and controlled bass in a very small enclosure, with a woofer that is designed to perform in a small, low profile box.  

To drive the woofers in this package, we offer three different amplifier options, all of which are designed to work well with these woofers, provide the proper amount of RMS power, yet not overpower them, causing the woofer to blow.  We offer the JL Audio JX series and the RD series.  When comparing the two, it is important to look at the 2 ohm power rating, but also look at the features on the amp.  The RD series amp is going to put out more actual power than the JX will, despite them both having the same 500W rating at 2 ohms.  The amps will come with a certificate showing the exact power rating and RD will outperform its rating by a larger margin than the JX will.  The RD amp also has LED clipping indicators which allow you to easily set the gains and adjust your head unit so that you are not seeing an input or an output signal clip in your stereo.
