What the Heck is BLAM?
BLAM (Bonneville Laboratory And More) is a French Audio company started by Audiophile Guy Bonneville. Guy was the head of Focal's car audio division, and when the company was bought out he started BLAM as a passion project. BLAM stands out from other speaker manufacturers by promising the best audio experience possible through the concept of "The French Sound".
If that throws you off, we can explain. You are already aware that different music genres have distinct dynamic ranges. Rock and Hip-Hop typically have louder lower frequencies while Jazz and Folk Music cater to louder higher frequencies. When High fidelity speakers came about in the late 1960's each region was designing loudspeakers best suited to producing the dynamic ranges of their music. The French valued crystal clear vocals and the emotions it created rather than melody, hence their loudspeakers were focused on recreating high-quality medium frequencies.
