The Audison Prima APBX 10 AS2 has a single 10 inch subwoofer and 400 watt amplifier built into the enclosure. This is the best powered subwoofer for cars on the market. It includes feet so that you can mount it as a down-firing enclosure and it has a terminal block and quick disconnects for power and signal inputs which allow you to quickly and easily remove and re-install if needed.

400 Watts RMS Output

What makes this powered subwoofer special is the 400 watt RMS output thanks to the ultra high efficiency subwoofer. The amplifier and subwoofer are perefectly paired at .16 ohms to deliver maximum power and efficiency from the class D amplifier. The subwoofer and sealed enclosure are tuned perfectly to deliver low, powerful, and crip bass output.

Signal Processing

From a processing perspective, the Audison APBX 10 AS2 has a 12dB/octave, variable low-pass filter between 50-200 Hz that can be bypassed if you are using a DSP. In addition, the amp has adjutable bass boost +/- 6 dB at 45 Hz to adjust the output to your personal preference.

Inputs

The APBX 10 AS2 accept both high and low level inputs. If you are running an aftermarket head unit and you want to use the remote wire, you can. But, if you have a factory unit or if you don't want to mess with the remote wire, the Audison Prima 10" powered subwoofer has Automatic Remote Turn On which will turn on the amplifier with DC voltage from the hgih level inputs or when it senses audio signal. This is a must if you are integrating this powered subwoofer with your factory head unit.

Bass Knob Included

Audison includes the HRC AP remote control which allows you to quickly and easily adjust the bass level of your subwoofer without having to mess with your head unit. Since no two songs are recorded the exact same and with the same amount of bass, you can be listening to one song with a ton of bass and the next song has no bass at all. The bass knob allows you to adjust the output to your own personal listening preference. In addition, you can also quickly and easily turn the bass down if you go from a song with no bass to a song with a ton of bass. This minimizes the effects of distortion and help protect and extend the life of your subwoofer.
