Our 1970-1971 Ford Ranchero Kenwood Excelon Stereo Kitincludes a radio, a dash speaker, rear 6x9 speakers, an amplifier, an amplifier wiring kit, the option to add a subwoofer, and 25 feet of speaker wire. This 1970-1971 Ford Ranchero Kenwood Excelon Stereo Kit allows you to put a home-theater-quality stereo system in your car while keeping it looking mostly original. With this Kenwood Excelon stereo kit, you choose the radio that best fits your needs and requirements. If you want Bluetooth, we recommend the USA-740. For the speakers, the front dash speaker consists of a pair of 3.5" Kenwood Excelon speakers mounted to a direct-fit, speaker plate that will fit in your original dash speaker location and play in stereo. For the rear, we include the Kenwood Excelon 6x9s. The grilles that come with the 6x9 speakers are simple black mesh design, and they will look appropriate in the rear package tray.
Next, we get to the amplifiers for our 1970-1971 Ford Ranchero Kenwood Excelon Stereo Kit. For the base amplifier in this kit, we offer a Kenwood Excelon 300 watt 4 channel amp. This amplifier is perfect for powering the four speakers. For the money, it sounds excellent, and it has a sweet, low-profile design. If you want a better 4 channel amplifier with more power, you can step up to the Excelon Reference, 400-watt 4 channel amp. The XR amp has more power, and it also has better signal processing for improved sound quality. If you want to add a subwoofer, we offer the Kenwood Excelon 800 watt 5 channel, which is comparable to the 300 watt 4 channel version. It just adds the extra 500 watts of power and the additional channel for the subwoofer. The Kenwood Excelon Reference, 900 watt amp gives you the extra power and better signal processing for your speakers while still giving you the 500 watts and the additional channel to power the subwoofer. All of the amplifier options are fantastic. If you want to add a subwoofer, choose a 5 channel amplifier. The standard Excelon amplifiers are plenty for most classic car owners. If you want the best Kenwood offers, go with either the 4 or 5 channel Excelon Reference amplifier.
We offer the option to add a loaded subwoofer enclosure to fill in your music's bottom end to give you true high quality, high-end audio experience. The subwoofer offered in this kit is a Kenwood Excelon 10" loaded enclosure that comes in a low-profile, down-firing box. This enclosure allows you to put a subwoofer in the trunk, face the speaker down, and still have plenty of space and storage. You can throw your car show stuff, groceries, or whatever you want on top of the box without worrying about damaging the woofer. This subwoofer will give you the bass you want for a high-quality stereo system without the booming you hear from the kids at a stoplight. Adding the subwoofer will give you the same, if not better sound quality than a brand new car with a "Premium Audio System."
