Our 1964-1966 Buick Skylark dual voice coil speaker is a bracketed 4"x10" speaker that has two tweeters on it that is designed to fit 1967-1972 Chevy trucks and GMC trucks that do not have air conditioning. One tweeter will handle the left channel while the other will handle the right channel in order to provide you with stereo sound from a single, mono location. The 4005DVC, bracketed dual voice coil dash speaker is the one we recommend for applications for these trucks without A/C. The dual voice coil speaker has more cone, surface area to provide better mid-range response. On the dual dash mount speakers, including the Kenwood, the center of plate is not creating any midrange sound whereas on the dual voice coil speaker it is. This dual voice coil speaker has 4 wire connections on the back, (+) & (-) for the left channel, and (+) & (-) for the right channel.
If you have an original, 8 Ohm or 10 Ohm radio, this speaker will not work. You must use this speaker with radios designed for 4 ohm applications.
